Peter Howard Dies on April 18

Peter Howard, who worked on dozens of Broadway shows in numerous capacities ranging from music arranger to conductor to composer to music director, died on Friday, April 18, after a brief bout with pneumonia and a longer bout with Parkinson’s disease. He was 80 years old and had been in residence at the Actors Fund Home in Englewood since last January.

Howard’s many Broadway credits include Carnival, The Sound of Music, Hello, Dolly!, Chicago, Annie, Barnum, and Minnelli on Minnelli.

He is survived by his son Jason Howard, daughter-in-law Mia Howard, and granddaughter Sara Rose Howard.
