Culture Project's The Real Americans, a new journalistic theater piece by Dan Hoyle, opened off-Broadway at the Lynn Redgrave Theatre on March 18. In addition to Hoyle, who also stars in the production, the evening's guests included Aidan Quinn, Bob Balaban, Marsha Garces Williams, and Allan Buchman.

The Real Americans is described as "a compelling and uniquely galvanizing new work." Hoyle created the play after escaping his hipster bubble in San Francisco and spending 100 days searching to bridge the divide between the liberal moral-relativism of gentrified city life and the conservative, absolutist populism he found in small-town America. The work is developed with and directed by Charlie Varon, and presented in partnership with Marsha Garces Williams.
