Cyndi Lauper To Star in Television Reality Series

Singer and actress Cyndi Lauper will star in WE’s new reality series, Cyndi, according to Deadline.com. The show is set to launch this summer and will have a 12-epsiode run.

The series will chronicle the personal and professional life of Lauper, who has been married to actor David Thornton for 20 years and has a 13-year-old son.

Lauper appeared on Broadway in The Threepenny Opera. Her many film and television credits include Off and Running, Life With Mikey, and Mad About You. She has been a top-selling recording artist for three decades, with such hits as “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “Time After Time,” and “True Colors.”
