Stage and screen star Ilene Graff will offer a one-night-only performance of her show First You Dream at Birdland on April 19. She will be joined by accompanist and musical director Ben Lanzarone.

Graff will perform songs from Broadway, the movies and the pop world and the evening will feature numbers by songwriters such as Harold Arlen, Lieber & Stoller, the Bergmans and Stephen Sondheim.

The Grammy Award nominated performer is perhaps best known from her work on television’s Mr. Belvedere. Her Broadway credits include Promises, Promises, the original production of Grease, and I Love My Wife. Graff recently headlined at The Canyon Club and Sterling’s nightclub in Los Angeles, and has had sold-out engagements at the Metropolitan Room in New York.

Lanzarone is an ASCAP-Award winning composer, and the show’s title comes from a special arrangement that he’s devised for two songs by John Kander and Fred Ebb: “First You Dream” (from Steel Pier) and “A Quiet Thing” (from Flora, the Red Menace),
