Frankie Faison, Frances McDormand, Lili Taylor, et al. Set for Elevator Repair Service Benefit

Frances McDormand, Lili Taylor, Fred Armisen, and Frankie Faison will read from loved, banned and mythologized American fiction during Elevator Repair Service’s annual spring benefit to be held on May 3 at the New York Society for Ethical Culture. Oskar Eustis will host the event, which will raise money for the development of the company’s new piece, The Sun Also Rises, based on the novel by Ernest Hemingway.

Readings, to be accompanied by ERS’s unique signature sound design, will also be offered by members of the company.

As previously reported, The Sun Also Rises will premiere at the Edinburgh International Festival in August, 2010, and play for an extended run in New York at New York Theatre Workshop in 2011.
