Aquila Theatre Announces Cast for Iliad: Book One

Casting has been announced for Aquila Theatre’s Iliad: Book One, to play the Lucille Lortel Theatre, March 31-April 25, with an opening on April 16. Peter Meineck will direct.

In this adaptation of Homer’s Iliad, a disparate group of soldiers and refugees take refuge from a savage war and find solace and humanity in Homer’s epic tale. The production will feature original music by Anthony Cochrane and movement by Desiree Sanchez.

The cast will include John Buxton, Nathan Flower, Jeffrey Golde, Jay Painter, Natasha Piletich, and Vaishnavi Sharma.

This production is part of the National Endowment of the Humanities sponsored Page and Stage program, which partners links public libraries and performing arts centers across America to create innovative ways for theatre to reach new audiences.
