The Titans Theatre Company will present the second annual Earthshaker Award Gala to honor leaders in diversity in entertainment and on the world stage on Monday, February 24.

The Earthshaker honorees for 2003 include Broadway performer Hinton Battle (Tony award winner for Sophisticated Ladies, The Tap Dance Kid, and Miss Saigon), playwright Jose Rivera (Marisol and Cloud Tectonics), Ellen Stewart (founder and artistic director of La MaMa E.T.C.), and Dr. Bernard LaFayette, Jr. (associate of Martin Luther King, Jr. and director of the Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies).

The inaugural Earthshaker Awards Gala honored Broadway star Andre de Shields (The Wiz, Play On! and The Full Monty), actress Kim Coles (TV's In Living Color, Celebrity Mole), Miriam Colon (TV's Guiding Light and artistic director of the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre), and Jodi Long (the current Broadway revival of Flower Drum Song, TV's All American Girl). All four previous honorees will present this year's awards.
