The Public Theater celebrated the first night of its ninth annual Under the Radar Festival on Wednesday, January 9 with a post-performance shindig at their Lafayette Street home.
Running through January 20, the Under the Radar Festival brings new and experimental theater from around the world to New York City for brief engagements. Among the companies presenting shows this year are Australia's Back to Back Theatre, Belarus Free Theatre, Nature Theater of Oklahoma, The Debate Society, Elevator Repair Service, and Iran's Leev Theatre Group, among others. The festival is directed by Mark Russell.
