Addams Family‘s Zachary James to Emcee Metropolitan Opera Project’s One Act Festival

Metropolis Opera Project has announced the lineup of pieces that will be presented as part of its first annual One Act Festival, running January 29-31 at Medicine Show Theatre. Zachary James — who will play Lurch in the upcoming Broadway production of The Addams Family — will emcee the performances.

Included in the festival will be Offenbach’s Two Blind Beggars, Cui’s Feast in the Time of Plague and the world-premiere of Bully Pulpit, created by Opera Electronica. In addition, the performances will feature selections from Mozart and Stravinsky.

Artists scheduled to perform in the Festival include Kevin Greene, Bell-Hop Danny, Iris Karlin, Megan Nelson, Danny Gardner, and Jessica Kimple. Additional participants will be announced at a later date.
