2007 Tony Awards Administration Committee Announces More Decisions

The 2007 Tony Awards Administration Committee met on January 18 to decide the eligibility of nine Broadway productions for the 2007 Tony Awards, which will be presented by the League of American Theatres and Producers and the American Theatre Wing on Sunday, June 10 at Radio City Music Hall.

The following decisions were announced; all other decisions were consistent with the opening night credits.

Alexander Gemignani and Norm Lewis will be considered in the Lead Actor in a Musical category for their performances in Les Misérables. Ashley Brown and Gavin Lee will respectively be considered in the Lead Actress and Actor in a Musical categories for their performances in Mary Poppins, and that show’s score was deemed eligible in the Best Score category.

Will Chase will be considered in the Lead Actor in a Musical category for his performance in High Fidelity. Jonathan Groff and Lea Michele will respectively be considered in the Lead Actor and Actress in a Musical categories for their performances in Spring Awakening. Marc Kudisch will be considered in the Featured Actor in a Musical category for his performance in The Apple Tree.

Among the other shows discussed were Company, The Vertical Hour, and The Little Dog Laughed.
