Mitch Albom’s Ernie to Debut at Detroit City Theatre in 2011

Author and playwright Mitch Albom will debut his new play Ernie, about the late Detroit Tigers broadcaster Ernie Harwell, next year at the City Theatre in Detroit, according to The Associated Press.

Albom is best known for his book Tuesdays with Morrie, which he later turned into a play and which became the basis for an Emmy Award-winning television movie.

He is also the author of the play Duck Hunter Shoots Angel, and the books Five People You Meet in Heaven, For One More Day, and Have a Little Faith: A True Story. In addition, he is also an award-winning newspaper columnist and a radio show host.
