Theater veteran Jeremy Strong will play opposite Liv Tyler in the film The Romantics, according to a report in Variety.

Galt Niederhoffer has written the screenplay (based on her novel) and will direct. The plot concerns seven individuals who reunite to watch two of their friends get married.

Strong played Richard Rich in the recent Broadway revival of A Man for All Seasons, with Off-Broadway credits including Our House and New Jerusalem, for which he received a Lucille Lortel nomination. Prior films include The Happening and Humboldt County.
