Christopher Meloni to Join HBO’s True Blood

Stage and screen star Christopher Meloni will join HBO’s hit drama True Blood next season in the regular role of a powerful vampire, according to Deadline.com.
Meloni has starred as Eddie Carbone in the Gate Theatre’s 2005 production of Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge and Bill Starbuck in the 1998 Williamstown Theatre Festival production of The Rainmaker, among other stage roles.
He is best known for his roles as Elliot Stabler on NBC’s Law & Order: SVU and Chris Keller on HBO’s Oz. He will also be seen in the upcoming film, Superman: Man of Steel.
