Kathy Bates, Elizabeth Perkins, Annie Potts to Star in 25th Anniversary Reading of Steel Magnolias

Santa Monica's Broad Stage will present a 25th anniversary reading of Robert Harling's Steel Magnolias on September 9, to be directed by Judith Ivey. Presented by David Youse and Four Things Productions, in association with L.A. Works, the reading will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The company will be led by Kathy Bates (Ouiser), Elizabeth Perkins (M'Lynn), and Annie Potts (Clairee). Additional casting is still to be announced.

The reading will feature lighting design by Leigh Allen, sound design by Shannon Slaton, props by Kent Rogers, graphic design by Studio 56, and technical direction by David Toledo.
