Broadway legend Carol Channing and The Channing-Kullijian Foundation will host an Emmy Award Viewing Party at Lulu California Bistro on Sunday, September 18, from 6:30pm to 10pm.

The evening will include The 63rd Primetime Emmy Telecast, a live and silent auction, and special performances by Broadway personalities.

There will also be performances from young people representing the Valley’s public schools’ arts programs, and the presentation of the first ARTS STAR AWARD to Congresswoman Jackie Speier, (D-CA), who successfully championed the H Con Res 275, a concurrent resolution designating a week in September as “Arts in Education Week.”

Channing won the Tony Award for Hello, Dolly! in 1964, as well as a special Tony in 1968 and a Lifetime Achievement Tony in 1995. She also appeared on Broadway in The Vamp, Lend an Ear, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. She received an Oscar nomination for Thoroughly Modern Millie.
