Michael Learned, Richard Thomas, Ralph Waite Set for September 29 Waltons Event

Stage veterans Michael Learned, Richard Thomas, and Ralph Waite will join the rest of the cast of the CBS' hit series The Waltons on September 29 at Los Angeles' Wilshire Ebell Theatre for a special 40th anniversary event, according to TVGuide.com.

The series, about a close-knit family in the 1930s, ran on CBS from 1973 to 1981, and earned numerous Emmy Awards, including ones for Learned and Thomas.

The event will also include appearances from the series' creator, Earl Hamner, Jr., numerous guest stars and celebrity fans of the show, and a panel discussion moderated by TV Guide's William Keck.
