Dennis Christopher to Star in Grand Motel at Unknown Theater

Dennis Christopher will star in the Unknown Theater production of Michael Sargent’s Grand Motel, February 13-March 28, to be directed by Sargent with designs by Chris Covics.

In this new comedy, Christopher will star as a washed-up playwright from the South, who, having fled a terrible out-of-town preview for his new play, checks into a Palm Springs gay motel only to find a kindred spirit by the pool, a former male model with secrets. The cast will also feature Bruce Adel, Erik Hanson, Shannon Holt, Andy Hopper, Craig Johnson, Nick Soper, and Nathaniel Stanton.

Christopher’s Broadway credits include Brothers and The Little Foxes, and his most recent LA stage credits include Side Man and Breaking the Code. He received the British Academy Award for Most Promising Newcomer in a Leading Role and a Golden Globe nomination for Breaking Away, and his other film credits include Fade to Black, September 30, 1955, and A Wedding.
