Andrew Lloyd Webber to Team with ITV for Superstar Talent Search

Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber will be teaming with ITV for a new reality talent search show, entitled Superstar, according to Deadline.com.
The winner of the television program contest will star in the title role of an arena tour of Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar, which will open at London’s O2 arena at the end of 2012, and then play other UK arenas. The series will air on ITV1 this summer. Lloyd Webber will be among the judges of the competition, and the public will vote on the outcome.
Lloyd Webber has previously collaborated with the BBC on the talent search reality shows to cast productions of his musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, as well as the classics, Oliver!, The Sound of Music, and The Wizard of Oz.
