(© Tom Donoghue) | Additional cast and creative team have been announced for PEEPSHOW, a new modern burlesque show created and directed by Jerry Mitchell, which will play the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas starting on March 30, with an opening set for April 18, 2009.
The show will star Mel B of the Spice Girls who will play Peep Diva, and Kelly Monaco, star of ABC's General Hospital, will play Bo Peep. Both performers also appeared on ABC's Dancing With the Stars.
In addition, Josh Strickland, who played the title role in Tarzan on Broadway, will be lead vocalist for the band, which will be directed by Susan Draus, and also feature Jackie Seiden, Cheaza, Nan Fourtier, Jennifer York, Jill Warren, and Dixie Dawkins.
The cast will also feature Lena Blake, Olivia Cipolla, Keltie Colleen, Kristin Rose DeCesare, Renay Herter, Monica Klus, Emily Loftiss, Michele Martinez, Allie Meixner, Marielys Molina, Leah O'Donnell, Carolyn Pace, Jessica Press, Jennifer Quinlan, Katie Webber, Adar Wellington, Kaci R. Wilson, Albert Blaise Cattafi, Jason Davies, Nick Kenkel, Stoyan Metchkarov, and Timber.
The creative team includes Acme Sound Partners (sound design), Gregg Barnes (costume design), Zachary Borovay (video design), Chris Lee (lighting design), Andrew Lippa (composer/musical supervisor/arranger), and David Rockwell(scenic design).
Mitchell won a Tony Award for his choreography of La Cage Aux Folles, and earned additional Tony nominations for his choreography of Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Never Gonna Dance, and The Full Monty. He also directed Legally Blonde.
