Kitchen Dog Theater Announces 2012-2013 Season

The Kitchen Dog Theater in Dallas, Texas has announced its 2012-2013 season.

Their first show, Becky Shaw by Gina Gionfriddo, is directed by KDT co-artistic director Tina Parker and runs September 7-October 6. This regional premiere tells the story of a newlywed couple who fixes up two romantically challenged friends. Next comes The Beauty Queen of Leenane, a darkly comic tale of lonely Maureen Folan and her manipulative mother, Mag. Written by Martin McDonagh, this production runs November 9-December 8. A tragic farce which combines a comic portrait of human folly with a magical experiment in theatrical possibilities, The Chairs, by Eugene Ionesco and directed by KDT artistic company member Tim Johnson, comes to the stage February 8-March 9. Finally, Kate Fodor’s RX is a comedy about big love, big dreams, and Big Pharma and will show from March 29-April 27. KDT co-artistic director Christopher Carlos will direct.

Kitchen Dog Theater will also present Se Llama Christina by Octavio Solis, to be directed by KDT artistic company member Christina Vela. Catch this story about a man and women who wake up to find themselves trapped in a room with no memory of how they got there or who they are on May 24-June 22. A cabaret entitled one:man.show about a man’s search for his authentic voice is a world premiere event by Tim Johnson and directed by KDT co-artistic director Tina Parker. The show is live May 29-June 15.
