Cocked starts its run this evening at Victory Gardens Biograph Theatre.

Taylor and her girlfriend, Izzie, have a comfortable life in Andersonville. Taylor is an attorney, Izzie is a journalist, they live in a nice apartment, and they are both staunchly antigun. The relative stability of their lives is destroyed by the arrival of Frank, Taylor’s troubled brother. As secrets and betrayals are revealed, the situation spirals until the line between self-defense and safety is blurred.

Written by Sarah Gubbins, the play is directed by Joanie Schultz. It features Patrese D. McClain as Izzie, Kelli Simpkins as Taylor, and Mike Tepeli as Frank.

The creative team includes Chelsea Warren (set design), Janice Pytel (costume design), Sarah Hughey (lighting design), Thomas Dixon (sound design), Sam Hubbard (fight director), Isaac Gomez (dramaturg), Aimee Plant (props master), and Tina M. Jach (stage manager).

Performances will run through March 13.
