The Price, written by Arthur Miller, begins performances this evening at TimeLine Theatre.

The action takes place in a New York brownstone, where two brothers are reunited after years of estrangement. As the house is marked for demolition, they must sort through their recently deceased father’s belongings. Amid the old furniture and relics, however, is a lifetime of family baggage, haunting the brothers as they attempt to navigate the ways in which we are liberated and trapped by those we love.

Louis Contey directs a cast featuring Mike Nussbaum as the 90-year-old antique dealer, alongside Kymberly Mellen, Roderick Peeples, and Bret Tuomi.

The creative team includes Brian Sidney Bembridge (set and lighting design), Sarah Jo White (costume design), Andrew Hansen (sound design), Mary O’Dowd and Amy Peter (properties design), Maren Robinson (dramaturgy), and Fernando Alvarez (stage management).

Performances will run through November 22.
