The Hypocrites' production of The Glass Menagerie has delayed its run at Chicago's Den Theatre after Donna McGough, who was set to play Amanda Wingfield, was forced to leave the production due to health reasons.

In a joint statement, The Hypocrites Artistic Director Sean Graney and Executive Director Kelli Strickland said, "Donna is doing well and thanks everyone for their well wishes. We wish Donna a speedy recovery and can't wait for her to be back working with us." Broadway veteran Kate Buddeke (Gypsy) will take over the role of Amanda, with previews now scheduled to begin February 3 in advance of a February 7 press opening. Performances will run through March 6.

Directed by and featuring Hans Fleischmann himself as Tom, the reimagined classic revolves around a man who is haunted by the regrets of his past. Mirroring his life on the streets, he takes audiences through the gritty back alleys of his mind as truth and delusion blend together in his memories. The production also stars Joanne Dubach as Laura and Zach Wegner as The Gentleman Caller, with an original score by Daniel Knox.

The creative team includes Grant Sabin (set design), Mieka Van Der Ploeg (costume design), Matt Gawryk (lighting design), and Aaron James Stephenson (sound design).
