Alexandra Billings Featured in Terrence McNally Reading Series

Award-winning transgendered actress and singer Alexandra Billings will be featured in a reading of Terrence McNally's The Ritz, which will conclude Pride Films & Plays' The Great Plays of Terrence McNally reading series on Sunday, October 24 at 7pm. John Nasca will direct.

The series, which surveys the playwright's works written between 1975 and 2006, will be presented at Stage 773 (1225 West Belmont) in August and October, and at Mary's Attic (5400 N. Clark Street) in September.

Additional readings will include the Chicago premiere of Some Men, directed by Andrew Souders (Sunday, August 29 at 7pm); Lips Together, Teeth Apart, directed by Jonathan Verge (Sunday, September 5, at 6pm); The Lisbon Traviata, directed by Steve Scott (Sunday, September 12, at 6pm;) Love! Valour! Compassion! directed by Michael Lasswell (September 19, at 6pm); and Corpus Christi, directed by Patrick Rybarczyk, (Sunday, September 26, at 6pm).
