A recipient of the Edgerton Foundation New American Play Award, the musical, which features a book by White and score by Sussman and Pluess, is based in part on events recounted in Jay Bonansinga's book The Sinking of the Eastland: America's Forgotten Tragedy.
Amanda Dehnert will direct the production. The cast includes Larry DiStasi, Christine Mary Dunford, Doug Hara, Jeanne T. Arrigo, Derek Hasenstab, Erik Hellman, Malcolm Ruhl, Michael Smith, Scott Stangland, Tiffany Topal, Claire Wellin, and Monica West.
The creative team will be made up of Dan Ostling (scenic design), Mara Blumenfeld (costume design), Christine A. Binder (lighting design), Ray Nardelli and Josh Horvath (sound design), Maria DeFabo (properties design), and Malcolm Ruhl (musical director).
