Up first will be the world premiere of Eric Simonson's Fake (September 10-November 8), which investigates how our assumptions about the infamous "Piltdown Man" -- the so-called "Missing Link" -- rattled our assumptions about evolution, faith, and science. The author will direct the work, which will feature ensemble members Kate Arrington, Francis Guinan, and Alan Wilder.
Amy Morton will direct a revival of David Mamet's three-hander American Buffalo (December 3-February 7) with Guinan and Tracy Letts in the leads, to be followed by Tina Landau's production of Tarell Alvin McRaney's The Brother/Sister Plays (January 21-May 23) featuring Alana Arenas and Jon Michael Hill.
Next up, Tony Award winner Frank Galati will direct a revival of Samuel Beckett's Endgame (April 1-June 6) starring William Petersen, Rondi Reed, Ian Barford, and Guinan. The season will conclude with Tony winner Anna D. Shapiro's production of Bruce Norris' new play A Parallellogram (July 1-August 29) about a young woman who believes she has the power to see -- and maybe even alter -- the future. For tickets and information, call 312-335-1650 or visit www.steppenwolf.org.
