Eclipse Theatre Company Announces Cast, Creative Team for Blue Surge

Eclipse Theatre Company has announced cast and creative team information for its production of Rebecca Gilman’s Blue Surge, to be presented at The Greenhouse Theater Center, March 19-May 3, with an opening set for March 23. Anish Jethmalani will direct.

The play tells the story of two small-town cops who try to arrest and then help a pair of prostitutes working at a local massage parlor. This will be the first Midwest production of Blue Surge since Gilman’s 2002 revisions. It will also kick off Eclipse’s two-year celebration of the first ten playwrights featured by the company – The Celebration Series.

The cast will include Kevin Scott (Curt), Laura Coover (Sandy), Sasha Gioppo (Heather), Kerry Richlan (Beth), and Nathaniel Swift (Doug). The creative team will include Thomas Jones (fight choreographer), Toy DeIorio (sound design), Michelle Tesdall (costume design), and Mike Winkelman (set design).
