Broadway Revival of A Life in the Theatre With Patrick Stewart and T.R. Knight to Open Officially on October 12

Dates have been set for the upcoming Broadway revival of David Mamet’s A Life in the Theatre at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. Neil Pepe will direct the production.
Previews will begin on September 21; the show will open officially on October 12, and the limited engagement is scheduled to end on January 2.
As previously reported, the show will star Patrick Stewart and T.R. Knight. The creative team will include Santo Loquasto (scenic design), Kenneth Posner (lighting design), and Laura Bauer (costume design).
The play focuses on the relationship between two thespians: Robert, an older, experienced performer; and John, a relative newcomer. While Robert’s guidance is welcomed by John at first, as the play progresses Robert falters as an actor and mentor, and John emerges as a mature actor.
