Addams Family Works to Be Featured in Museum of the City of New York Exhibition

The exhibition will celebrate New York City cartoonist Charles Addams (1912-1988), and include more than 80 drawings, cartoons, sketches, watercolors, and pencil sketches -- published and unpublished, black and white and in color -- as well as examples of the artist's personal ephemera.
Addams' work is the direct inspiration for the new Broadway musical, The Addams Family, based on the cartoonist's funny family of ghouls that have also been featured in a prime-time television sitcom, a television cartoon series, and numerous blockbuster movies.
