Written by the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan (The Kentucky Cycle), All the Way follows Lyndon Baines Johnson through his first year in presidential office as he tackles civil rights legislation, enacts major social programs, and struggles with the war in Vietnam. As all of these political battles play out, so does Johnson's moral balancing act between means versus ends.
The play was recently awarded the inaugural Edward M. Kennedy Prize for Drama Inspired by American History, which was founded to pay tribute to the late senator. The prize honors new plays or musicals that explore issues in United States history.
Tickets to All the Way will be available with A.R.T. subscription purchases in May. Single tickets will be available in July.
