Boston Children's Theatre (BCT) will be the first children's theater in the country to produce the world premiere play Reflections of a Rock Lobster, about a gay teenager and his fight to defend his life and preserve his civil rights. Performances will be in the Wimberly Theatre at the Boston Center for the Arts, on March 3-11.

Based on the true story of Aaron Fricke, and adapted by BCT Executive Artistic Director Burgess Clark for the stage, Reflections of a Rock Lobster tells the tale of the bullied teen who sued Rhode Island high school for the right to escort his boyfriend to the prom.

Reflections of a Rock Lobster will be performed by students between the ages of 14 and 19 alongside several adult actors. Ian Shain and Felix Teich will lead the student cast as Aaron Fricke and his boyfriend Paul Guilbert. Also included are Alex Aroyan, Rosie Cerulli, Sean Crosley, Anthony Esielionis, William Goldstein, Aly Grindall, Ellis Hampton, Ashley Hevey, Justin Hynes, Kristina Kastrinelis, Conrad Krendel-Clark, Joy Kozu, Alex Levy, Megan McMahon, Nicholas McNeil, Niamh O'Connor, Marianna Odoy, Rachel Padell, Kevin Paquette, Sophia Pokowsky, Futaba Shioda, Linnea Shulz, Julia Talbot, Kim Uggerholt, Natalie Vatcher, and Emily White.

The adult cast features Doug Bowen-Flynn (Principal Richard Lynch), Allan Mayo (activist John Delaney), Paula Plum (Aaron Fricke's mother Loretta Fricke), Nate Punches (Defense Attorney Donald Chase and RI State Trooper Larry) and Richard Snee (Aaron Fricke's father Walter Fricke).
