Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced plans for its annual Fridays @ 3 Reading Series, running July 13-August 17 at the Paresky Center on the Williams Campus.

Kicking off the series will be Samuel D. Hunter’s The Few (July 13), in which Bryan searches for a way to keep faith in humanity, directed by Adam Rapp. Next, Davis McCallum will direct Dan O’Brien’s The Body of an American (July 20), the 2011 Weissberger Award-winning play about an incredible journey from Africa to the Arctic. Michael V. Gazzo’s A Hatful of Rain (July 27), a fresh look at the play that inspired the classic film, will be directed by Greg Naughton.

The series will continue with Abundant Acreage Available (August 3), a play about a brother and sister confronting the change their aged father’s death brings to their lives, directed by Gordon Edelstein. Then, Kerry Whigham will direct Max Posner’s poignant look at the mechanics of language and loss The Thing About Air Travel (August 10). Closing the season will be Nick Payne’s One Day When We’re Young (August 17), a depiction of love’s unbreakable bonds in the wake of a world at odds, directed by Kate Whoriskey.
