Tony nominee and Emmy Award winner Lonny Price will direct the new musical, Bonnie & Clyde: A Folktale, featuring book by Hunter Foster and music & lyrics by Rick Crom, at the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville, Georgia, March 15-April 8.

Described as “funny, tuneful and historically dubious,” this musical take on the famous gangster couple (different from the Frank Wildhorn-Don Black-Ivan Menchall version of the story now wrapping up a run on Broadway) was previously seen at the 2008 New York Musical Theatre Festival.

The production will feature musical direction by Ann-Carol Pence, choreography by Josh Rhodes, set design by Phillip Male, costume design by Joanna Schmink, lighting design by Bradley Bergeron, and sound design by Bobby Johnston.

Price, an actor, writer, and director, received a Tony nomination for his book to the musical A Class Act, and an Emmy for his work as a director on Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street in Concert.
