About This Show

The old adage “You can’t take it with you when you die” rings true for the Sycamore family who live life to the fullest. Dad makes fireworks in the basement, Mom is a writer who has more interest in creative pursuits and encouraging her family to do what they want than keeping up with social norms. Despite all of the chaos the youngest daughter, Alice, loves them just the same. When Alice meets Tony, who harkens from an uptight, humorless wall-street family, they fall in love and worlds collide. After an unfortunate misunderstood dinner invitation leads to the alienation of Tony’s family, Alice breaks it off believing things will never work between them. Now, she must learn through her unconventional family that to really live life, she must learn to follow her heart. A nostalgic comedy to warm the heart and soul.
