About This Show

In celebration of the 200th anniversary of Hans Christian Andersen, his story of the tiny Thumbelina is brought to the shadow screen with stunningly colorful puppets. Too small to fit in with people, the original flower child has to find her place in this world. On this grand journey, Thumbelina learns of the seasons, has misadventures with frogs in a pond, sings in the trees with flying beetles and must escape the underground home of a mole. Live music on dulcimer and electric guitar sets the tone of this flower power fairytale.
