About This Show

Described as “a beautifully choreographed ride on the edge of utter chaos” (The Stranger), and “utterly, paradoxically, delightful” (Seattle Post-Intelligencer), John Kaufmann’s highly successful experimental theater production of Line One returns in an expanded format, unfolding in real time. During each performance, selected “tellers” and “doers” located throughout Seattle and the world at large are given parameters and a specific time frame in which to relate certain memories and experiences. Each teller and doer is connected to an actor on stage via a cellular phone. The onstage “channellers” speak the words they hear in their ear-pieces verbatim to the audience.
