First performed 400 years ago, the tragedy of King Lear remains one
of the greatest plays in world drama, as Shakespeare explores the epic
human story of blindness, power, blood, and light. Rough Play Productions and Lithuanian-based director Paul Budraitis will utilize theatrical techniques such as Meyerhold’s “biomechanics”, Viewpoints, and Suzuki, as well as the extensive use of live music, to attempt
their vibrant new take on this timeless classic.
