Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, and Rebecca, (not to mention the works of Mary Shelley, Bram Stoker and D.H. Lawrence) are all delightfully satirized in this wild and ridiculous travel through the moors, castles, masked balls and inexplicable lesbian overtones of Gothic novels and the movies that came from them. Woe-begotten waifs and cruel headmistresses and masters are daily fare for our nameless heroine before saving the life of the darkly tormented aristocrat, Hampstead Hamilton.
No preview performances on Sunday 6/15. The Monday 6/16 performace is at 7:30 PM.
