Holes

Based on Louis Sachar’s Newberry Award-winning book, Holes imagines what happens when a $5,000 pair of basketball shoes land on Stanley’s head. When the boy is convicted of theft, he blames his great-great-grandfather who was the first of his family members to be cursed. Stanley is sent to a juvenile detention center in a desert full of holes, and the first thing they give him is a shovel.
