About This Show

Anansi the Spider is a lively telling of four stories about Anansi including: How Stories Came to the World, Tiger Becomes a Riding Horse, The Magic of Five and Dinner for Two. These popular African and Caribbean folk tales teach advantages of using wit and cleverness, rather than brute strength to come out on top of a situation, no matter how small you may seem – even if you are just a little spider! Paul Mesner, whose “True Stories of the 3 Little Pigs” delighted NWPC audiences last season, combines mouth, hand and rod puppets with stilt walking and live African drumming.
