ACT Theatre presents A Number, by Caryl Churchill, directed by John Kazanjian. Years ago, a father made a decision that would irrevocably alter the course of his life, and the life of his young son. Now, he faces the consequences of that decision when his second son learns of a startling secret that threatens to turn their world upside down.
From the subtle and innovative mind of Caryl Churchill comes an emotionally compelling, intellectually provocative meditation on the implications of cloning at the most human, most personal level. Through a series of confrontations between a father and his sons, Churchill invites us to consider the disturbing complexity of a reality not too far in our future.
