This workshop will guide participants through the basics of Kristin Linklater’s method of Freeing the Natural Voice, which allows speakers to use detailed imaginative skill and physical awareness to release physical and psychological tensions that limit vocal expression and inhibit the voice. The vocal skills gained from the practice of Linklater’s tools enable speakers to marry the imagination, the breath and the body, and to develop an instrument that is vocally responsive to impulse and environment. Open to any level performer. Please bring about 10 lines of text with which to play.
