The Silent Note with Kamyar Arsani and Mosno Al-Moseeki

Kamyar Arsani was a student of a master Iranian-Kurdish multi-instrumentalist, BijanKamkar. Kamyar has played the “Daf,” an Iranian frame drum, since he was 11. He also learned Kamancheh with Master Ardeshir Kamkar and Sohrab Pournazeri and self-taught himself guitars and drums. Originally from Iran, he now resides in Washington DC where he teaches “Daf,” in addition to being the drummer of the band “Drawing Sounds,” and is in the process of publishing his first album which is a guitar-cello duet called “No Freedom.”

Mosno Al-Moseeki, the 3rd World Rocker, is an international singer/songwriter native of Sudan. He uses Arab-poetic lyrics, with a Middle-Eastern style of alternative rock. He calls it “Desert Eclectic.” Expect some Sudanese-American folk tunes along with some Nubian classics.
