About the Show

Histrio will present Tardieu Tot Ou Tard, a show made up of three short plays by Jean Tardieu: Oswald et Zénaïde ou Les apartés (Oswald and Zenaide or The Asides); La Sonate et les trois messieurs (The Sonata and the Three Gentlemen); and Un geste pour un autre (One Gesture for Another). Jean Tardieu is a poet and a playwright of the 20th century. He spent his childhood rocked to sleep by the sound of his mother’s harp, as she taught her pupils, and by the poetry read by his father, who was a painter. This twofold gift was to last a lifetime. Born in 1903, he died in 1995. Thus he spent 92 years steeped in image and sound.
