Playhouse Puppetry Slam!

The Playhouse Puppetry Slam! is a showcase of edgy and provocative works aimed at mature audiences. Content ranges from the raunchy and risqué to the tender and tear-jerking in a fast-moving succession of both rough and polished acts. And IT’S INFECTIOUS! On the evening of Oct. 8, the Puppet Co. presents its fifth Playhouse Puppetry Slam! in conjunction with Puppet Pandemic, an organization that fundraises for National Puppetry Conference Alumni Scholarships. As they say, “Like a pandemic, the passion for puppetry is spreading. The only cure – a prescription of puppet performances!” There will be two performances: 7 and 9 p.m.

The JFQ Jazz Quartet will provide live music for the evening. A Silent Auction will run throughout the evening, with bidding taking place before and after each performance. Winners will be announced after the 9 p.m. performance, and individuals MUST be present to purchase and collect items. All proceeds go to Puppet Pandemic.
