About This Show

The Baltimore Theatre Project presents Mo’ Poe 2 … Nevermo’. BTP reincarnates its performing arts salute to one of Baltimore’s most deceased favorite sons – Edgar Allan Poe! The evening is a benefit for Theatre Project and your mortal soul. Hors d’oeurves by the Baltimore Theatre Project’s new downstairs neighbors 23rd Degree, with beer by Clipper City and a wine tasting, will be accompanied by eclectic and affordable silent auctions & raffles. Retire upstairs for two short performance sets, including the likes of The Collective (contemporary dance), a sample of Poe-based opera from Daniel Mark Epstein & Damon Ferrante, Native Son of the 5th L (spoken word), Joyce J. Scott (unspecified mayhem), comedy and impressions from emcee Bob Heck (MPT’s Bob the Vidtech & Loyal Opposition stalwart), and the superb David Keltz as Edgar himself. Drinks, auctions, & raffles continue upstairs, joined by dessert from Joy America (i.e. our old chums Spike & Charlie).
