Going Viral and Vaude-vival

Nathan Andary’s Going Viral exploits the possibilities of innovative media including electronic soundscapes, interactive visual programming, animation and virtual dancers.
Digital art by UMD graduate Charlie Pinnix, original score by international composer Jane Wang and Andary’s virtuosic movement palette evokes motion from the depth of the human cell.

Emily Oleson’s Vaudevival: Old is the New New ricochets through pockets of 20th century American vernacular dance and popular entertainment to create a vibrant statement about the cyclical nature of art and society.
Oleson’s award-winning collaborators range from historians to hip hop artists and the theatre will reel with live traditional music and dance re-imagined and re-invented for a swingin’ good time.

They perform together as a shared thesis concert for the UMD School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studie.
