About This Show

Helen Hayes Award nominated director Lee Mikeska Gardner directs Peter Shaffer’s Equus, a classic play about a psychiatrist’s exploration into the disturbed mind of a teenager who has committed a shocking and seemingly inexplicable act of violence. Washington Shakespeare Company’s Helen Hayes Award nominated Artistic Director, Christopher Henley, stars as Dr. Dysart and new WSC company member Jay Hardee is his patient, Alan Strang.

All preview performances (Oct. 26, 27, 28 and 30 at 8:00 PM) are Pay-What-You-Can.
A special Halloween fundraiser performance is scheduled for Tuesday, October 31. Tickets are $20.00
There are no performances on Thursday, November 2, or Thursday, November 23.
A special closing night performance is scheduled for Sunday, November 26 at 8:00 PM.
