New York City
In Alfred Uhry’s Driving Miss Daisy, an aging widow’s son hires a black man to act as his mother’s chauffeur. In a series of scenes spanning 25 years, the black man and the white woman overcome their personal differences and learn just how much they have in common. They come to find acceptance with one another in a world in which they themselves are not yet accepted.
