About This Show

Double Agency is an evening of two works – It’s a Small House and We Lived in It Always and Miss Risque. The evening’s performance is a collaboration of two companies, American theatre makers Split Britches and the Clod Ensemble, Britain’s young music theatre company known for making theatre in which live contemporary music is integrated with highly visual theatre.

It’s a Small House and We’ve Lived in It Always is an unspoken, physical piece with three songs in the style of American Blues. Peggy Shaw and Lois Weaver play a couple enduring a relationship of twenty years, still demanding attention from each other and negotiating territory.

Miss Risque is a story of secrets and showgirls, set in a Paris Music Hall, with Weaver playing a showgirl a la Mata Hari and Shaw a mustachioed suitor.
